Oct.11,2010. Wiskybilt and I roll out of the shop on our way to Daytona.
a late start, but who cares, we are in
the wind and it is a beautiful day. We decide to get off the highway
and take Rt 19 (2 lane) thru the mountains of West Virginia. We roll
thru places like Ireland, Rock Cave and into Beckley. Along the way
at a gas stop we meet John Hamrick. Not only is John a Fireman but
he is also Founder of Team R&R. He provides assistance to rescue
services during natural disasters at no cost. Check out www.teamrandr.org
It is getting late as we roll into Columbia,SC. We find a bar and grab a cold
beer. We get directions to a truck stop just down the road. We pull into the
Kangaroo Express Truck Stop and jump into the hammocks and call it a day.
Tuesday Oct.12 up early and back on the road. We picked a great spot for lunch
in Georgia. If you are on I 95 South around mile marker 94 stop in at Hooters
of Savannah. Great food and great service. Back on the road and rolling into
Wednesday Oct.13 We got a great location at The Broken Spoke and we are all set
Thursday thru Sunday work, work ,work. Wow did we meet a lot of people. The weather
was great and people loved our hammock. But time to roll towards the house. Our
friend and fellow Hoka Hey rider, ìCWî gives us a place to stay
Monday 22,2010 We make our way north stopping to demo our hammock along the way.
We set up hammocks in a Truck stop in Beckley,WV. We park the bikes close to
each other and use a tarp to keep the heavy dew off. It works great. It is this
kind of R&D that makes our product so good. We are always using them and
making them better.
Tuesday 23,2010 last leg home. It has been a great trip but it is always good
to get home. We have a lot to do to get ready for the Love ride and the Lone
Starr Rally in Texas.
See you on the road
